The modernized shotguns of "Becas-M auto" series feature the presence of a "clever" system of shutoff and powder gases relief.       "Becas-M auto" is a semi-auto hunting shotgun. The automatic reloading is executed owning to the energy of powder gases moved from the bore into the gas chamber and thanks to the energy of the restoring spring. There is a gas unit stabilizing the gas pressure onto the piston of moving parts that provides softer recoil while shooting with different shells and bullets. These are produced for 12/76, 12/70 and 16/70 shells.      The barrel is detachable and connected to the receiver with a cap. The bore is locked by turn of a locking gib during the lengthwise movement of the receiver, when the locking gib enters into the groove of the barrel tang.

The hammer-type firing mechanism is installed on a jettisonable base and provides quick dismantling and maintenance of the shotgun "Becas-М auto".       "Becas-M auto" provides shooting by single shots and saving the gun with the push-button safety device. The tubular magazine is located under the barrel. The forearm is on the magazine body.       The sighting devices are a ventilated lath for the 680-, 720- and 750-mm barrels or separate front and rear sights for the 535-mm barrels.

On the top of the receiver there is a base for fastening the optical sight.      The construction of the shotgun features the installation of the bolt break and the shells cut-off device inside the receiver. The shells cut-off device allows holding-up the out stroke and chambering the shells out off the magazine.      For lessening the total weight of the gun the receiver is made out of a light alloy.      Forearm and stock are made out of the walnut. For convenient shooting the stock is made with the paddy rubber butt.      For increasing the service life of the gun and its rust-proof quality the bore and the chamber as well as the gas chamber are chrome-lined. The gas unit pistons are made out of the stainless steel.      The gas unit construction provides automatic adjustment of the pressure inside the gas chamber, which allows for the differences in intraballistic characteristics of the shells of different munitions.

For extending the shotgun operational functionality the 680-, 720- and 750-mm barrels have bases on their muzzle parts for installing the muzzle bushings such as "cylinder", "choke", "half-choke", the barrel extenders as well as a nozzle "Paradox". To avoid an occasional inertial pinhole of the primer the firing-pin is spring-loaded. The gun construction excludes the possibility of shooting, when the bolt isn't locked.
