Traumatic pistol "Leader"

Traumatic pistol Leader      The pistol "Leader" is a non-barreled pistol of a traumatic action, which is destined for use as a civilian self-defence weapon and allows shooting with the cartridges of the caliber 10õ32Ò equipped with rubber bullets.
     The pistol is developed on the basis of the famous pistol of Tokarev's system "ÒÒ" patterned by those of the years 1930 and 1933.
      "Leader" is a self-loading pistol. The automatic reloading of the pistol is done due to the stock kick. The automatic cycle includes:
- extracting and reflecting the used case;
- cocking the firing mechanism;
- chambering the next cartridge out off the magazine into the cartridge chamber of the barrel mimic.
     The single-action hammer-type firing mechanism provides shooting by single shots and saving the pistol. The saving from any occasional shots is carried out by cocking the pistol at safety.
     The box-shaped magazine is housed inside the pistol hilt. The outer sighting devices include front and rear sights.

    Attention!

        "Molot" JSC kindly asks owners and buyers of the traumatic pistol "Leader" (VPO-501) and the revolver "Nagan-Ì" (VPO-502) not to use the single-bullet cartridges produces by the closed corporation "Barnaul cartridge-making plant" of ÒÐÎ-01, ÒÐÎ-02, ÒÐÎ-03, ÒÐÎ-04, ÒÐÎ-05, ÒÐÎ-06 series.
        The closed corporation "Barnaul cartridge-making plant" has introduced the single-bullet cartridges of these series to a market without having tested them on the traumatic pistols "Leader" and the revolver "Nagan-Ì" and w/o having agreed with "Ìîëîò" JSC as well. The cartridges of these series cause the breakage while shooting. These provoke anomalous increase of the bolt recoil speed while shooting and breakage of the guard bush cleat joining in the pistol "Leader" and that the rubber ball bluntly speaking doesn't flies out off the barrel and gets stuck inside it in the revolver "Nagan-Ì".
        At present the close corporation "Barnaul cartridge-making plant" starting with the batch ÒRÎ-07 and the next ones outputs the single-bullet cartridges of an advanced design, which operate in the traumatic weapons reliably.
        What about the modernization of the traumatic pistol "Leader" we'd like to tell as follows: the articles of the construction output before November, 2007 were destined for using the cartridges of a lesser energy, which had been produced previously. To use the cartridges of a higher energy up to 100 Joules an extra element (the return spring rod) was added to the pistol construction, which redistributes the striking loads directly to the bolt bulk. It's bounded up with the fact that the rise of the cartridge energy has caused with the insufficiency of the margin of safety for cleat lugs and guide bush.
        Installing the rod of a new construction can be done by own strength, but there are some nuances of that assembling, which have found their reflection in the registration certificates of the pistols of the new construction.
